SP25 Clinical Credentialing - Fit Testing Tips

Clean Palate -  Fit testing uses your sense of taste and works best with a clean palate. Please do not chew gum, eat or drink anything other than water for 1 hour prior to your fit testing appointment. 

Hair Tie - If you have long hair, please bring a hair tie, so you can tie your hair back during the fit testing process.

Clean Shave - Please see the CDC's infographic Facial Hairstyles and Filtering Facepiece Respirators linked here Links to an external site.. The mask must be able to create a seal to protect you. If facial hair impedes the ability to create a seal, you will automatically fail the fit test.  If you have facial hair please come clean shaven.
