Use the Week3 Homework Google Sheets spreadsheet in doing this homework, Top Runners Normal Distribution Links to an external site..
First, copy and rename the Google Sheets file with your last name in the title. You will be saving it in your own Google Drive. (Or copy it to Excel.)
Then calculate the Normal Distribution probability for the ages of five "friends and family members," who will be between the ages of 20 and 61.
You will use the norm.dist function to compute the cumulative probability distribution for each, answering the question: What is the probability that a runner, selected at random, will be younger that your family member or friend?
The data to input into the norm.dist function is thus:
X (age of friend), mean, standard deviation, and 1 (to choose cumulative probability).
Submit your work as a Google Sheets or an Excel file.
