For this problem set, see the class examples in the "chi squared" Excel file and use the data in the "Week6 raw data for chi sq" file. (Note that each of you has your own tab in the data file.)
Test the null hypothesis that the number of men and women runners is equal, that is, expected values are 50 men and 50 women. Use your dataset to find the actual observed number of men and women, which should add up to 100. Use a significance level of a = 0.05 You will use the chisq.test function in Excel to get a p-value. Compare a and the p-value in hypothesis testing.
State whether your analysis directs us to "reject" or "not reject" the null hypothesis.
