Google Site draft
- Due May 8, 2020 by 3:30pm
- Points 20
- Submitting a file upload
- File Types doc, docx, and txt
Create a web page for you thesis. This is essentially a web version of your poster without the restrictions of the poster format.
You may use whatever you'd like to create your site, but I recommend Google Sites. To make one, follow these steps:
- go to https://sites.google.com/new Links to an external site.
- make sure you are logged into your Endicott profile (see the upper right corner)
- under "Start a new site", select a template
Make sure your site has at least placeholders for the following information:
- your name
- semester (i.e., Spring 2020 or May 2020)
- project titile
- the components you were going to put on your poster (background/motivation/diagrams/screen shots/etc.)
- a link to your final demo (right now, feel free to link to your most recent demo draft)
- a link to your code if you have it in an accessible repository
- a link to your paper in PDF format
- publish your page (click the "Publish" button in the upper right)
- make sure your "Published" sharing permissions are set so that "Anyone at Endicott can find and view the published version" OR "Anyone can find and view the published version" (a.k.a. publicly available)—see below for details on permissions
A note on permissions
All demos will be linked to a publicly viewable course page. However, you can choose to make your page visible only to Endicott or to the public. By default, pages are only visible to those with an Endicott account. To change settings, click on the share button:
Then select the "Change" next to "Published"
Then set accordingly:
Submission
Please submit a document (text file, Word Doc, Google Doc, whatever) that include:
- a link to your Google Site
- a short, one or two sentence summary of your project
- this will go on the master course page that links to each of your individual sites
