Exam 1

This is just a placeholder for the exam. Exam 1 will cover the following:

• major software engineering activities
• development processes (traditional vs. modern/heavy vs. light; Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD, DevOps)
  • when each is appropriate
• planning & requirements engineering
  • work breakdown structure
  • roadmaps / epics (in Scrum)
  • analysis (clustering, prioritization)
  • time estimation
  • user stories + acceptance criteria
• design
  • types
  • tools

The questions will largely be in the form of scenarios and a set of questions about them. E.g., I might list system requirements and then ask you to write user stories for them. Or I may ask you which development process is most appropriate and why.
