First, watch this TED Talk by Greta Thurnberg about Climate Change (11 minutes). Since the speaker has a Swedish accent, you may want to turn on (or keep) subtitles.
Next read this brief overview about Climate Change in Massachusetts. Download Climate Change in Massachusetts.
Then in a posting of one to two paragraphs, describe some supply and demand factors that will likely affect you personally by 2050, over the next 30 years. For the supply-side, you can consider the business/organization you work for, then using it as an example, consider what will be different (or what should change) over this time-frame. For the demand-side, you can consider yourself, family, and friends, and how your day-to-day lifestyle will change by 2050, both as consumers and also as employees.
For example: One interesting benefit of climate change in the State of Maine is that the growing season will be longer, increasing agricultural productivity, and opening up the possibility of introducing new crops in addition to the potatoes and blueberries that currently dominate that sector. (Or grow more potatoes and blueberries.) On the downside, there has been some concern that lobsters will migrate to "colder quarters" -- further north toward Canada. Or that the lobsters will alter their seasonal migration patterns, making lobster fishing more difficult. So the economic factors include the increase in productivity for agriculture, and possible decline of lobster (as a natural resources). An increase in supply suggests larger quantities sold at lower prices, and a decrease in supply suggests higher prices and a decline in sales volume.
