- Submitting a discussion post
Create a web page for you thesis proposal. You may use whatever you'd like to create your site, but I recommend Google Sites. To make one, follow these steps:
- go to https://sites.google.com/new Links to an external site.
- make sure you are logged into your Endicott profile (see the upper right corner)
- under "Start a new site", select a template
Make sure your site has at least placeholders for the following information:
- your name
- semester (i.e., Fall 2020)
- project title
- a short description of your project, including the motivation and summary of related work
- a summary of what the final version should do
- diagrams or other visuals to help describe these (e.g., for any kind of app, UI diagrams would be helpful; for games, different views or maps would be helpful)
- the state of your prototype, including helpful screenshots
- a link to your prototype demo (right now, feel free to link to your most recent demo draft)
- a link to your proposal document
Publish your page (click the "Publish" button in the upper right)
-
- make sure your "Published" sharing permissions are set so that "Anyone at Endicott can find and view the published version" OR "Anyone can find and view the published version" (a.k.a. publicly available)—see below for details on permissions
You can see the Thesis II websites here Links to an external site. for inspiration.
A note on permissions
All demos will be linked to a publicly viewable course page. However, you can choose to make your page visible only to Endicott or to the public. By default, pages are only visible to those with an Endicott account. To change settings, click on the share button:
Then select the "Change" next to "Published"
Then set accordingly:
